The Department of Materials Science, Faculty of Science, Kasetsart University was officially established on 12 October 2012. The Department comprised a multidisciplinary approach that involved drawing appropriately from interdepartmental disciplines so as to redefine problems outside their normal boundaries and reach solutions based on a new understanding of complex Nanomaterials.
The Nanomaterials Science Curriculum was a result of the Faculty’s three departments: the Department of Chemistry, the Department of Physics and the Department of Applied Radiation and Isotopes that combined to set out the content of learning within a system, using an established set of organizing principles, competencies, and broad generic categories.
