From November 12–14, 2025, Mr. Nghiep Mai Nguyen from Kasetsart University, Thailand, participated in the International Conference of the Genetics Society of Korea 2025 (ICGSK 2025). The international event was held at the Suwon Convention Center.
Mr. Nghiep Mai Nguyen was honored with the “Palam Science Best Poster Award” , receiving the certificate from President of The Genetics Society of Korea, Prof. Yun Doo Chung , and President of Palam Science, Hyungchul Kim. This participation allowed the student to present the research titled “Characterization of the Leaf Microbiome from Long-read Whole Genome Data of Asian Rice Representatives” on an international platform organized by The Genetics Society of Korea.
The award recognizes the outstanding poster presentation and highlights the academic excellence of Kasetsart University, demonstrating the ability of its researchers to compete and succeed in the global scientific community.
